Motion graphics

From animated customer stories to explainer videos tackling complex health care topics, I enjoy distilling any message into clean, simple, and expressive visuals that aim to inform, engage, and resonate.

Mental Health Explainer Video

Video for Kaiser Permanente’s website in which current or prospective members can learn how to get mental health care.

About the design

In this video, we wanted showcase a diversity of ages and races across a range of care modalities. By placing the characters in windows, I was able to easily transition between settings and showcase a variety of people without investing too much of our budget in illustrating and animating backgrounds.

A tale of two audiences

Our client wanted to use this collateral in both member-facing contexts and B2B materials. We made the upfront decision to create two separate videos so that we could tailor each to its intended audience, while strategically reusing as much overlapping content and visuals across both.

Celebrating nurses

Video for Kaiser Permanente’s Nurses Week campaign: How do you show appreciation to 26,000+ Kaiser Permanente nurses during a pandemic? The goal of this video was to recognize the outstanding work, day-after-day, of each and every nurse by using the metaphor of a multitude dots.

Storyboard

I used expressions to create organic-feeling motion, automatically generate color variety, and as a time-saver to not individually animated each dot.
